The pagan festival would be at the same time as the Resurrection of Christ. The early name for Easter was once Eastre until it was changed for modern spelling. | |

| The Easter Bunny is not a modern invention. The symbol was a rabbit; so then they called it the Easter bunny. Before the Civil War nobody would celebrate Easter tell after the War and used a rabbit for EasterÕs symbol. | |

| From the earliest times, the egg was a symbol of new life like in springtime there is a lot of new spring life. Also today children hunt for Easter eggs and place them in baskets to. They make them in plastic and chocolate eggs too. | |
